It’s Raining Men Lush Shower Gel Review
The re-release of It’s Raining Men shower gel as a permanent product was the announcement heard ’round the world last week. Originally released as a limited edition product prior this year during the Valentine’s day season, many fans let Lush know just how badly they wanted this one back. I hadn’t experienced it the first time so I was very excited to get my hands on it.
The scent of It’s Raining Men, as most of their shower gels, is strong but not overpowering. It’s the shower gel equivalent of Honey I Washed the Kids soap. The flowery honey scent is sweet in a natural way, most likely due to the large amount of real honey in the product. It has a beautiful golden color to it with an good consistency, not too thin or runny but not overly thick.
Get absolutely soaking wet and lather up just like the Weather Girls first commanded back in the disco days. Only this time, you’re armed with one of the best shower gels you can buy. It’s Raining Men is made with lotus flowers to soothe your winter-ravaged bodies and moisturizing, cleansing honey.
As with most shower gels, I add some to a loofah and work up some nice bubbles before applying. It’s Raining Men lathered up nicely and made the shower smell very fragrant and sweet. My skin felt smooth and was very moisturized after use. This shower gel is definitely a scent that carries throughout the day after you use it, especially if you pair it with Honey I Washed the Kids soap.
Although sold as a shower gel, It’s Raining Men can also be used as a shampoo in a pinch. As a shampoo, it leaves your locks smelling nice and fragrant.
This is the perfect shower gel if you’re a honey scent and/or Honey I Washed the Kids fan. It applies nicely and leaves your skin feeling great after your shower or bath. Personally, I’m not a huge honey fan so it’s not my favorite scent but I do appreciate it nonetheless. It has successfully made its way into my rotation for times when I feel that I need to add a little bit of sweet to my day.
What do you think about It’s Raining Men? Have you tried it or plan on trying it soon?
