Sea Vegetable Soap

Sea Vegetable Review

Initial Thoughts

I received Sea Vegetable soap from the Little Green Bag gift set. My first impression of the soap was to admire its unique color and seaweed covered top. The smell is very pleasant and soft, reminiscent of the way the beach smells without an overly harsh smell of salt.

Lush says:

A refreshing splash in the ocean. Sea Vegetable is made with seaweed, one of our favourite ingredients, with a crust of stimulating sea salt to give your body a good scrub down. It is considered a milestone in our soaps, as it was the first time we put seaweed and seaweed absolute in there. It’s like standing on the coast and inhaling the fresh sea air. Our customers and product inventors adore this one for its uniqueness.

Usage

As always, I cut my soap bars into smaller pieces to conserve half in a dry environment rather than having the whole bar be in the wet shower. On first use, the soap doesn’t lather as well as I’d like but improves on later uses. The nice scent becomes a little bit stronger and glides nicely while you use it. I’d recommend you use the top seaweed covered portion only for exfoliation rather than all over as it may be a bit too painful for some. After the shower my skin was moderately moisturized and in need of a little extra help with some lotion.

Conclusions

Sea Vegetable is a nice soap but one that I wouldn’t have purchased on its own. I’m glad I got to experience it through the Little Green Bag but it won’t be a repurchase for me. I am a fan of the scent and the beautifully¬†translucent¬†blue green color but I prefer creamier soaps with a bit of a stronger scent. This soap is appropriate for those who don’t want a soap that overpowers your other scents but enjoy smelling something nice while they lather up.

  • me not you

I love the scent but not the little pieces of seaweed. I found my self picking it off after the show.
