Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly Review
The use of a clear plastic pot caught my eye initially. It resembles more of the black pot with a screw on top rather than the deli-type clear containers that face cleansers come in. This clear container is probably my favorite as it shows off the product very nicely and is very reusable. Sweetie Pie looks a little mysterious with its dark coloring and specks of glitter, almost like taking a look at the stars on a clear night.
The smell, oh, the smell! The scent of Sweetie Pie is by far my favorite scent of all the Lush products I’ve tried thus far. It smells like a fresh pack of bubblicious bubble gum with a hint of fruit flavor. I purchased this product last week and every time I see it I can’t help but stop and smell it. The texture is like handling a more versatile piece of jello. Very fun and different for a shower product.
Sweetie Pie is just that. It’s the sweetest of our jellies and goes well with our fruitiest products. We mix in iridescent glitter to leave a sparkle on your skin after you get out of the shower.
Getting the product out of the pot is pretty simple and you don’t have to worry about tearing the product unnecessarily. I just take the lid off and turn it upside down into my hand and it comes out easily. From there, you can do a lot of things with the shower jelly… like play with it for a few minutes while enjoying the beautiful scent and make your shower fun again! Or if you’d rather get some cleaning done, rub it directly on your body, smush a piece into a loofah or washcloth to lather up, or tear a piece off and foam that up in your hands. Once you’ve got your method down, feel free to use it on your body as a cleanser or in your hair as a shampoo. Shower jelly’s are very versatile.
The only downside to a shower jelly is also what makes it unique: its form. The shower jelly is very slippery. It may be safer to take a piece and use it in smaller chunks so, in the unfortunate case that you do drop it, you won’t lose it all. Sweetie Pie cleans well and leaves your skin and hair smelling delicious. The glitter is not overbearing and I didn’t really notice it at all after I rinsed.
Sweetie Pie is a fantastic product that is effective, smells great and adds a little fun to your daily shower or bath. Shower jelly’s are also inexpensive which makes them great gifts and easy to try in your own shower.
Have you tried a Lush shower jelly? What’s your favorite scent?
