Lush Cosmetics Boxing Day Sale 2011

Boxing Day Sale Haul

Here’s a very belated recap of my first Lush Boxing Day sale. This year’s sale was titled ‘Keepin’ it Fresh’. All wrapped gifts were buy one, get one free (of equal or lesser value), all holiday items were buy one, get one free and any soap made prior to November 2011 was also buy one, get one free.

I wasn’t able to go to my local Lush shop (Universal City Walk) as I was still celebrating the holiday’s with my family. Instead, my mom and I decided to make a fun trip out of it and visit her local shop in Anaheim. Let me tell you this, I was not expecting the store to be that full when they opened. I’ve never seen any Lush that busy. Next time I really need to do my homework the night before to get the right gift sets (that is, if they do the same type of sale next year). All of the larger gift sets (Lush Legends, All I Want for Christmas, Wonderful Christmas Time) sold out immediately.

I ended up picking up three ‘Hello Gorgeous’ gift sets which include:

  • Sakura Bath Bomb
  • Gorgeous Moisturizer 0.35oz
  • Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub 3.3 Fl. Oz
  • Helping Hands Hand Lotion 0.35oz

Instead of getting a fourth ‘Hello Gorgeous’ I grabbed a ‘Wild Child’ set instead. That one includes:

  • Sugar Babe Sugar Scrub
  • Happy Hippy Shower Gel 3.3 Fl. Oz.
  • Bubble Gum Lip Scrub
  • Rock Star Soap 3.5 Oz.

As far as holiday items, I picked up Pow Wow lip scrub, Chilli Tingle and four Buche de Noel’s. I received two large bottles of Snow Fairy for Christmas so I didn’t need to get another. I took the soap sale as an opportunity to try some new soap’s out. I got two each of the following:

  • Lust
  • Dirty
  • Porridge
  • Godmother

All in all, it was a good haul and I saved some money and was able to get my hands on a few products I wouldn’t have otherwise tried. I am already in love with Porridge and Godmother. B has decided that Dirty is his new favorite (he started with Ice Blue, then Demon in the Dark, now Dirty). Reviews to come!
